Handoff, also known as handover, is a communication process in wireless and cellular networks that allows a device to seamlessly transfer its ongoing communication session from one base station or access point to another. It ensures uninterrupted connectivity and smooth transition as the device moves within the network’s coverage area.

  1. Seamless Connectivity: Handoff enables a mobile device to maintain an ongoing communication session, such as a call or data transfer, while transitioning from one cell or access point to another.
