With the worldwide release of Apple’s latest smartphones, the iPhone 15, some early buyers were thrilled about the transition to the USB-C port. To their surprise, they began experimenting by connecting various devices to it, and it turns out that many gadgets work seamlessly with all iPhone 15 models.
One user decided to experiment by plugging in a USB-C to Ethernet adapter, enabling a high-speed wired internet connection that surpassed Wi-Fi speeds. During a speed test, the iPhone 15 Pro reached a peak speed of 872 Mbps.
Another lucky owner of the new iPhone 15 demonstrated that the smartphone can not only record video to external SSD drives but also to SD cards when connected through a card reader.

Apple itself has confirmed that USB-Ethernet adapters and other peripheral devices are compatible with iPhone 15 models.
The newfound versatility of the USB-C port on the iPhone 15 is opening up possibilities for users to connect various accessories and expand the capabilities of their smartphones. It will be interesting to see how creative users get with this newfound flexibility in the coming months.
